Welcome to a new week. Let's thank God for allowing us to see a brand new day.
Scripture: Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us.” Isaiah 8:10
Once you realize that being a child of God is the biggest flex, it changes how you move in this world. God, the creator of everything, and our Father, is outstanding. He doesn't play about his children, and He loves us in such an indescribable way. He is also the God of the angel army, the Lord of Hosts (Isaiah 14:27). Our God is always ready for battle and has strategic warfare tactics that will win every battle. This same God says in Isaiah 8:10 that people, your enemies, and Satan may gather together against you, but don't worry, their scheming will break apart. It says these people will speak against you and develop strategies to take you out, but it won't happen. And why is that? Because God is with you. That means since God is with you, anything that tries to come against you in the natural or supernatural will not touch you. It doesn't matter how great the threats are or how successful these tactics were against other people; it won't stand against you because you have God on your side. How outstanding is that?
What does it mean that God is with you? The Hebrew meaning of "with us" means beside, among, before, accompanying, and between. God is literally on every side of you, protecting you from every angle. (Psalm 139:5). He is Immanuel, which means God is with us.
That alone should give you a boldness that can't be explained. If you take away anything from this devotional, let it be this: you are untouchable, unbeatable, and victorious because Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of angel armies and Immanuel, God is with us, is on your side.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for being God. Thank you for being Immanuel and Jehovah Sabaoth. Help me remember that you never change. I pray that if I haven't met You as Immanuel or Jehovah Sabaoth, I ask that I will this week. Amen.
