God our is so good to us.

Welcome to a new week. This week, we will focus on God's characteristics in Exodus 34:6. Our God is so good. It truly is a blessing to have a God like our God, whom we have the honor of calling Dad and King.

Scripture: And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth. Exodus 34:6

I love this scripture because God is introducing Himself to us. Throughout scripture, we see that God is indeed gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth. Even today, we have experienced these characteristics of God. He never changes. It is wonderful that the God we serve is forever merciful and slow to anger. That means no matter what happens, God will not go against Himself. He will always be the God He says that He is. This is good news! This week, let us focus on the God we have encountered and how He revealed Himself in our situations. He has been good and merciful to us when we did not desire it, but that is our God, and He will forever be the same.

Prayer: Lord, I thank you for never changing. You are abundant in goodness and truth, merciful, and slow to anger. God, I ask that You help me to focus on You more than my current request. Help me to rest in You. Amen.

Did this Bible verse help you today? What did you learn from this scripture? How can you apply Exodus 34:6 to your life this week?
