Do what is right, love mercy, and walk humbly

Hi everyone and welcome to a new week. Let’s keep our eyes fixed on Jesus this week and meditate on His word. The Bible verse we will focus on today will encourage us to be more like God.

Scripture: He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Micah 6:8

God is so good. He gives us all the information we need for this life in His Word, but we must take the time to read it. In this scripture, God is revealing what He requires of us and these requirements are easy to follow with the help of the Holy Spirit. We are created in the image of God and as believers, we are called to imitate Him. Therefore, these requirements are fitting for us since we are His children. Let’s ask God to help us do what is right, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him because it is impossible to meet these requirements without Him.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for telling us Your requirements. Holy Spirit, help us to adhere to those requirements by doing what is right, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God. Amen.
