Visiting New Places In My Area: Lakeland Park Adventure Blog

I typically search Google Maps for nearby places I haven’t visited before. One day I was searching for parks and came across Lakeland Park and Hollis Botanical Garden. The botanical garden was the first thing I saw online along with thousands of positive reviews. The pictures of the garden intrigued me, especially the photos of the lily pads on the water. Once I reviewed the directions to the Botanical Garden, I saw it was connected to a park. I love finding new parks with gorgeous scenery. I was so excited that this park was near my home.

It was scorching hot on the day of my visit to this park which had me running to find shade often. There weren’t many people there, so I could look around and enjoy the scenery. This park has a playground for kids and a recreational center. Many kids were playing on the playground and having fun in the sun. I walked around the park and took many pictures which made me happy since I love increasing my photography skills.

The Hollis Garden is free to the public and easy to find when you enter the park. It is smaller in person compared to the pictures online. There are lovely flowers, fountains, and places to take photos. This garden is perfect for engagement, wedding, and graduation photos.

In my opinion, the park is smaller than I expected so visits here are short, however, it was worth the visit and I will visit again. Check out my YouTube video below to see my walk around the park and my encounter with wildlife.
